For one week a year, Warrington Disability Partnership arranges a fantastic opportunity for organisations in the local area to showcase their services and the support that is out there for people in the community. This year it is an extra special occasion, with it being the 30th Anniversary of Warrington Disability Awareness Day (DAD). There are so many events being held during the week culminating in ‘The Big Event’ on Sunday 12th September 2021 from 10 am – 4 pm. It’s held in the fabulous surroundings of Walton Hall Gardens which is located in Daresbury, Warrington (not far from junction 11 of the M56 and Warrington Town Centre); it’s very close to where Creamfields Music Festival is held each year.
Not only is there the opportunity to find out about services and support provision not just for people with disabilities but more generally too; there are also sports, arts and crafts, live bands, dance and drama going on. It’s a real hive of activity.

We have a stand in one of the marquees on the Sunday, where we will be providing information about our Steps Supported Lodgings Scheme (where individuals can apply to become host households for placements for young care leavers and children that are looked after by the local authority). If you want to find out more, please come along and see us at Stand 3, in Marquee no 8..
